Scarf Trim

Another project I started almost exactly a year ago was a tatted trim for this scarf.   I never finished it at the time because I ran out of the big brown beads. When eventually I got some more beads to complete the project, interest of course was lost, together with the scarf!!


So instead of a fringe this long scarf has a rather smart tatted trim.  

 Today was a bright and sunny day and I was really surprised to see the bits of the Cedar Tree that had been damaged in the storm had been chopped up.  


 Such an amazing amount of wood and so we are going to collect a few more logs tomorrow morning.

    The trim is beautiful! That is an unbelievable amount of wood. How many shuttles do you think could come from that lot?

    A lot of wood alright! Imagine how many shuttles lurk therein. I think the beads must make the pretty edging hang well, adding a bit of weight.

    Congratulations on completing your pretty scarf trim. You'll be able to make some very interesting items from all that lovely wood. I like the log - fourth on the right - it appears to have eyes! Have you yet had time to take a photograph of the pedestal which was holding the Advent arrangement? Would love to see the stand in its full glory. Many thanks.

    Edging a scarf with beads and tatting - a brilliant idea! It is beautiful. That tree must have been enormous! Cedar wood smells so nice, too.

    The wood is amazing isn't it? Yes many shuttles can be made but we are now thinking about larger wooden items, so much potential!

    I expect that when I'm In The Garage works out what to make from the remains of the Cedar tree it has become 'log' ical to him now?
