A new batch of shuttles will soon be on sale. There has been a long gap since the last ones as 'im in the garage has been making other wooden items. He has been completing an order from a restaurant who were wanting some very classy cutlery holders to be made, which I am unable to show you just yet.
It is quite an exciting weekend for us in UK as up and down the country people are celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday. However, the typical English weather means that it is now raining in the south of England. A few days ago it was really sunny and they were putting the finishing touches to this in the city of Bath.

What fun! I love the flower arrangement that she's working on. I'll you show the cutlery handles? I'd love to see!
ReplyDeleteI hope to show the cutlery holders soon, it is a case of copyright!
DeleteBelieve it or not, on our cable TV Dish satellite, we get a craft show from England every day, which mostly has paper crafts and gadgets, including die cutters from a company called 'Tattered Lace' to give a 'lacy look' to greeting cards. The show has mostly English hosts, but also a few from the US who are also in the studio, and it's 'live'. They also have a web site. Therefore, I knew about the Queen's birthday celebration. An amazing milestone! I remember seeing her coronation on TV when I was a 'kid'. Hope you all have a wonderful celebration. Beautiful garden display!
ReplyDeleteI love the very clever photo of 'TAT' made with the shuttles! Glad he's getting orders for other things! Are these the holders that have slits for different knives? Sounds tricky to make!
Sadly there isn't much of a celebration in the area in which I live but we did have a special church service for her and everyone was given a book called The Servant Queen.
DeleteKathy the holders have hand crafted slits for the knives, forks and spoons, totally beautiful
Oh it is beautiful to celebrate love the crown, I somehow feel like the fist picture is sending me a subliminal message ha ha ha :) love the shuttles!
ReplyDeleteThat is the trouble with shuttles!
DeleteAs one of the Colonies most of the birthday celebrations are telecast here. Loving all of it. Clever shuttle arrangement. I do love my pop-a-bobbin the hook handles beads very well, I highly recommend it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bernice and enjoy the birthday celebrations
DeleteI thought the Queen looked wonderful in her bright green outfit yesterday! - but you do have to admire the Duke, don't you? - not wanting to draw too much attention to his own birthday on the same day.
ReplyDeleteWill there be any hookless shuttles this time?
Wasn't it bright Maureen - yes the Duke is someone very special.
DeleteSorry Maureen no hookless shuttles this time.
I love that you've spelled the word TAT with the new batch of shuttles! 90 years is certainly worthy of a special celebration!
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane - and the Queen has aged so gracefully
