Slow progress

I am making very slow progress with this fandango square, but determined to tat a few more rounds before I consider it finished.   There are four different shades of blue thread used in the making of it and the effect looks quite good.

This afternoon I sold my electric cooker in preparation for the new kitchen, which will start to be fitted next week.  I advertised the cooker on a site called Facebay which operates on the same principles as Facebook but you can sell or give away items on it in your local area.   A few months ago I gave away my old sewing machine and today the same person bought the cooker and is prepared to buy my fridge and freezer when they become available over the next week or so.

Fortunately I have a slow cooker and a microwave which will tide us over for the next fortnight.  Also a chiminea for outside cooking if its not raining.

  1. Oh, your fandango is so lovely. That's it- forget the clunies, this is my next project!!!

Wonderful that you were able to sell the cooker and sewing machine and future sales. I loathe when things simply are thrown in the tip.

    1. Thanks Michelle
Oh gosh yes so do I hate throwing things away, can't tell you how pleased I am that they are going to a home instead of the tip.

  2. OMG - that doily is amazing in those colours. I do hope you carry on with it. You've inspired me to start another one (even though I've got one on the shuttles at the moment) - you dreadful woman!!!!

  6. It's lovely! - seems to be a pattern which lends itself beautifully to playing with colours. My son and daughter in law are also planning a new kitchen - they crawled all over mine when they were here last week, measuring and questioning - and then we all trooped off to the appliance stores. I found it exhausting just accompanying them! So many decisions to make.

    1. I have let the so called experts make a lot of the decisions for me over the kitchen, have no idea what will work or not work. The only thing I am missing is drawers, there is something about them that is a must, mostly because they are for storing too much junk in! The new kitchen will only have two large ones! There have been other decisions to make and have found it very exhausting!
