Tat Day!

Well not exactly "Tat Days", but on Saturday I am due to teach 8 people to learn to Tat in our village, which will more or less be the same time as the Palmetto Tat Days in the USA. The church is holding a Craft Day and so obviously Tatting has to be one of the handicrafts to try.  I am almost prepared for the lessons, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Will hopefully be able to take some photographs of my students!

These are two more bookmarks taken from Martha's book playing with picots, I must get a copy of her new book, it looks exciting.

Right off to finish preparing for Saturday, can't believe that this time last year Jane and I were actually in the USA and ready to travel to "Tat Days"

  3. It certainly doesn't seem a whole year ago that you were there! I like your bookmarks, what a great idea to put them in those frames - where did you find those?
I tried so hard to buy a flat shuttle on Sunday morning, I am determined to succeed next time!

    1. It must be at least 5 years ago when I was shopping with Jane that I bought the frames and until now did not know what to put in them. Must admit I haven't seen such nice ones since and the shop where I got them from is now closed. More flat shuttles are being made but as you can see I needed a few for this weekend so limiting the stock to sell.

  5. I also was curious about the framed bookmarks. I always prefer to attach my bookmarks to a 'solid' backing. Glad you found the perfect use for the frames! Good luck with your class!
