It is dark and dismal this morning in this part of the world and I have just taken this picture trying to capture the snowflakes hanging on twigs. They form part of the Christmas decorations in the house, well actually almost all there is to see although I am working on some other last minute tatting related decorations, which may get finished for this Christmas!
Here are what the snowflakes look like close up, they remind us of cold snowy days, which thankfully have not reached the south of England yet.
I love them in the vase and this color is nice! I like the bugle beads!
ReplyDeleteThat's SOOOOO pretty. Something I've never thought of - using the same design over and over. Makes for a REALLY stunning and classy display. Glad there's one member of the family who's classy!!! I'm certainly NOT!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a good way of displaying the snowflakes, they look ethereal!
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the prettiest Christmas displays I've ever seen. So often, people go completely over the top with their decorations. Your display is tasteful, elegant, and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful display! Very unusual! The bugle beads are perfect, and I'm curious how you work with them. Do you have a tiny hook to reach inside?
ReplyDeleteKathy I use a fine beading needle and fine cotton to get the bugle beads on to the thread to make the long beaded picot and then hold them with a safety pin.
DeleteThanks so much for this tip! I bought bugle beads awhile back but haven't played with them yet! As I write this, I am looking at your sweet miniature red beaded ball ornament (included in my 'prize package' of goodies back in 2010) displayed near my TV. It's always admired among my displays at our events!
DeleteKathy bugle beads are such fun to play with, they can cut the thread with their sharp edges but that is very rare and has only happened once to me. Gosh 2010 how time flies, I still have a few of those small glass balls left, must decorate them for next year!
DeleteBeautiful! I think blue snowflakes are lots of fun, and I love the beads you've added in these as well! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous snowflakes :). Love how they are displayed :).
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your encouraging comments, I love making this snowflakes so have not got tired of the pattern yet. It is only this year that I have really become fond of blue snowflakes too!
