I am still making bags and trying to find time to also tat. The main aim is of course to try to use up thread and beads, and I am doing quite well in that respect, having reached the end of three balls and the delight of throwing the cardboard inners away! These little sea horses are one of my latest projects and I am hoping to attach them to cards.
And more tote bags for the seaside, the right hand side one I attached mother of pearl buttons on the end of the straps, although you cannot see them very well on this photograph.
Off to find some more material to make bags out of and to use up my stash of tatting thread and beads!

I love the sea horses! I have tons of fabric that I've been accumulating for years, all meant for bags. Maybe I'll actually get around to making some one day. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDiane initially it was an effort to make the bags but once started I am really enjoying making them. I just had no room for all the material so needed to do reduce my stock fast!
DeleteThose bags are wonderful! And the sea horses are downright adorable.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle I am hoping to sell them, wish me luck!
DeleteLovely bags and sea horses that belong together!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane, though not a patch on your lovely bags
ReplyDeleteI have been wondering whether you may be planning a lovely cruise? - with all the seaside accoutrements. I love the bags.
ReplyDeleteNo not a cruise Maureen although we do live very near the port of Southampton. The next holiday will have to be Singapore to see our son and wife, we have not seen them for a couple of years now.
DeleteYou could go on a boat to Singapore!!

ReplyDeletePretty seahorses :). Bags look great :).
ReplyDeleteHow about tatting a yacht to go on your beach bags? I always look forward to seeing what you will make next. Your are so imaginative and productive!
ReplyDeleteThe seahorses are so cute !!! And if I focus on the beaded eye, they have a kind of bewildered look .... cho chweet !!! Maybe they are wondering what they're doing so far from the sea, yet so close to the beach bags ? ;-P
ReplyDeleteGreat seahorses and bags!! :)
