Summer Posy
That's the name of this design by Majorie Hanson and it just reminded me of the Annual Chelsea Flower Show which comes to an end tomorrow. Each year the Royal Horticultural Society holds this magnificant show, with gardens planted just for 6 days in the middle of London. Royality visit the show before it is officially opened and thousands of people view the beautiful displays, often showing for the first time new varieties of plants. This year there was even a Credit Crunch Garden! Within the next week you will see this Summer Posy grow into a lovely floral display.

A suitable name for a pretty design. Are you going to used different colours for each posy?
ReplyDeleteThat's very pretty. Aunty Nelly used to tell me that 'blue and green should never be seen'. I had a blue and green printed cotton skirt which I loved and she hated. Do you remember Aunty Nelly?
ReplyDeleteYes Jon there are going to be some other colours, well guessed! Yes Jane I remember that rhyme and Aunty Nelly! But I think almost anything goes these days, i.e. in the distant past I would not put red and orange together, or pink and orange - but I've seen you do that!
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty. And I love the colours together!
ReplyDeleteOOHHHH, it's so pretty!! I think the blue and green look great together!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that the Chelsea Flower Show would have been fun to attend!!
This is pretty! It'd be nice to see more colours. Yes, you're right. There is no such thing as colour clashes these days. (hhahahahhaa)
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous! Love the brilliant green and blue!
ReplyDeleteI love this! - the rest of the rhyme is ..."without a colour in between!" But I think it's perfect just the way it is!
ReplyDeleteVery very beautiful!
