I began to sew this bag in March as a ‘lock down project’ all was going well and I was enjoying the free time and opportunity to do some creative craft work. However, very soon I lost interest in it and in fact everything. Three weeks later I picked it up again and made a massive effort to finish the bag.
Also determined to make it a little bit different I tatted a trim, although I thought it may spoil the bag and make it look too fancy. However, I am pleased with the look especially as it matches the decor of the room in which it will live.
This is a close up of the trim and the pattern can be found here
That's a wonderful bag! I love the addition of the tatted trim. Unfortunately, I have a house filled with projects that I lost interest in. It may be time to clear them out.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your perseverance in completing the bag. It looks a good size which will enable you to get all the tatting equipment in.
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting it done. Love the trim. It’s not overpowering, enough to give the bag a lift.
ReplyDeleteThank you kind people I think it will for ever bring back memories of covid-19 and for that reason I am pleased that it was finished because we need items like these to remind us that there can be better days.
ReplyDeleteI love good bags and my daughter got into sewing up some nice ones too. Love the tatting touch😃💐😃
